Utah trip night one - Navajo state park
the road to camp site two
Anthony Defrange on his way to the next spot, right where i stand is where we found some petroglyphs when i stopped to take a break....then we saw the sign on the trail that we missed that pointed them out haha.
camp site night 2, this was off a great trail. we ended up going back on it for the fourth night in order to find a spot.
road to monument valley. run, Forest, run.

The thumb. No, that is not Wes Montgomery...(otherwise known as "the thumb")
valley of the gods
valley of the gods - camp site night 3...the lighting was too dramatic that day to not do a black and white of this.
Almost didn't see this campsite valley of the gods. I was scouting ahead after anthony found a worthy campsite (we wanted to be a little higher up i think). i was turning around to come back and join him on the way back to the original spot, and saw this gem. we will definitely use it in the future.
valley of the gods - camp site night 3..yes. this was def the best camp site of the trip.
goosenecks state park, the history behind this wet noodle of a canyon is pretty amazing.
Camp - night 4.
camp - night four, I built a better fire ring and we enjoyed calm weather...less wind.
the road north to moab - just outside fry canyon...this photo doesn't begin to show the depth here.
dirty devil river...
white canyon road - camp site 5. you can see anthony and the trucks far down below. that was a nice spot - just a big slab of rock.
goblin valley - what a surreal treat. i could have stayed in there for days exploring and running around like a kid. It's completely otherworldly. In this shot you can see a couple and their dog.
another of Goblin Valley - the green mountain in back was one of a few, the color was a cool contrast to the rest of the area.

goblin valley camp site 5
goblin valley camp site 5 - Great site but windy as all hell. Anthony slept in the back of his truck instead of setting up the camper. there was a literal sandstorm across the valley...i'm sure we were in part of it, this is when i was reminded that i hadn't finished the sealing of all the walls and roof panels.
Goblin Valley - camp site 5 with alpaca rock (that's just what i called it, i doubt it has a name).
